Family Hiking trail

The Siamese Twins Trail is suitable for most all families.  There are natural stairs made along the trail using railroad ties and rocks, but they are not steep and most of the trail is smooth and easy to hike.  Younger children will have fun exploring the rocks, it is a great family hiking trail. 

	Pikes Peak: as seen from the north loop of the Siamese Twins trail in Garden of the Gods. The trail along this area is primarily dirt, with some railroad ties creating dirt steps.  This reduces erosion, but it makes strollers difficult and wheelchairs nearly impossible.  This trail is suitable for families with children.
	Pikes Peak: Again from the north loop, but this time through some of the vegetation seen along the trail and growing in the Garden of the Gods.

	As we get nearer the Siamese Twins Rock Formation, we start getting into more rock formations.  The twins do not just stand from out of nowhere, but as expected they are in an area of heavy rock.  These rocks appear to have a cave, but if you examine them from a different angle it is more like a carport.
	The Siamese Twins Trail at the rock formation.  The Siamese twins are on the right, but they are lined up one behind another so only the side of one is visible.  You can see however that this is a city park, as the view overlooking the valley shows part of Colorado Springs.
	The Siamese Twins and Pikes Peak: The summit of Pikes Peak is visible through the two spires of the twins in this image. Notice at the base of the twin spires is a small window. For perspective of the size of these twins, the next picture shows my wife sitting in the window with Pikes Peak in the background through the window.

	This is the south loop of the trail, we are heading back toward the parking lot.

	more of the South Loop to give a better idea visually of just what the trail is like.  Children can navigate this trail with adults without much problem, however you might want to go on a dry day when the ground is not wet from rain or snow melt.
	On the road through the park is this rock formation called the Tower of Babel.
